Szymbark (German: Schönberg ) is a village with a Schulzenamt of the rural municipality Gorlice in the powiat Gorlicki of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship , Poland .

The place is located on the Ropa River under the Low Beskids .
history
The place was founded in the 14th century by German settlers . The name is derived from the German Schönberg . The village was also the seat of the noble Gładysz family.
During the first partition of Poland in 1772, Szymbark became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire (from 1804). After the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Danube Monarchy, Szymbark came to Poland in 1918.
