The Tälermühle is a water mill on the Roda and a district of Waltersdorf in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .
geography
South of Stadtroda , the Tälermühle is located on the state road 1062 between Waltersdorf and Erdmannsdorf in the Roda valley.
history
The mill was first mentioned in a document in 1288. Franconian settlers founded Waltersdorf in the 12th century. They probably built the mill and called it Neumühle. Christian Albert von Meusebach then built this mill in 1722. From 1970 the mill was a further training center of the agricultural engineering school Stadtroda as a legal entity. In 1997 the course was discontinued until open property issues were resolved. In 2001 heirs got back the property they sold. The main building is now used privately.
