A bag maker (in Austria: bag maker ) is a profession in the leather processing trade.

Bag makers make suitcases , bags and other containers made of leather , plastic and textiles ( leather goods ) or cover chairs with leather.

In Germany , the bag maker is now a recognized training occupation by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWI) ; The bag makers used to be organized in guilds .
