The Tölzer Moorachse denotes the moor area around Bad Tölz . It is a Natura 2000 area.

With a bog share of 11%, the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district is one of the richest bogs in Bavaria. The moors of the Tölzer Land line like pearls on a chain over an almost uninterrupted axis of 30 kilometers from the Kochelsee to Deining . These include a. the Ellbach and Kirchseemoor , Babenstubener Moore , Klosterfilz , Leonhardsfilz , Schellenbergmoor and the Loisach-Kochelsee-Moore .

Over the past 25 years, rewetting measures have been planned and implemented in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district in 20 raised bogs on around 250 hectares.

Flora and fauna

In the Tölzer moors live u. a. the Argus blue , the raised bog , the adder , the beaver , orchids and gentians , sundew , peat moss and cotton grass .
