TC blue-white glue
TC Blau-Weiß Leimen 1964 eV is a tennis club in Leimen (Baden-Württemberg).
In 1964 the tennis club Blau-Weiß Leimen was founded. The club has offers for top-class sport as well as for popular sport . The club operates 15 tennis courts. The club plays competitively with teams in the Baden League, the 1st District Class, the Oberliga and the District League.
The state performance center of the Baden Tennis Association is located at the TC Blau-Weiß Leimen, and it mainly looks after the ages U12 to U18.
The club's most famous athlete was Boris Becker , who started his professional career at TC Blau-Weiß Leimen and is now an honorary member . Becker was trained there in the 1970s by Boris Breskvar , the national coach at the Baden tennis performance center. Also Steffi Graf and later Anke Huber were taught there from Breskvar.
The largest hall in the club is named after Becker. According to a report in Hörzu in autumn 2013, there was allegedly controversy about Becker's lack of involvement in his former club. However, a planned renaming of the hall was not implemented. The association made it clear that the planned renaming of the hall did not mean a break with Boris Becker, but was related to the search for a sponsor for the renovation of the hall. This one would probably have to offer the naming rights for the hall. Becker is still an honorary member of the association and can use all facilities and participate in all events.
