TSV Brunsbüttelkoog
The TSV Brunsbüttelkoog was a sports club from Brunsbüttel in Dithmarschen . The first soccer team played for ten years in the highest amateur league in Schleswig-Holstein .
history
The club was founded in 1946 as the successor to the clubs MTV Brunsbüttelhafen , Fortuna Brunsbüttelkoog and the Free Gymnastics Association Brunsbüttelkoog, which was banned by the National Socialists in 1933 . Two years later the TSV was one of the founding members of the single-track state league Schleswig-Holstein and had to leave the league as bottom of the table . After the immediate resurgence, the team was able to establish itself in the then second-rate upper house of Schleswig-Holstein.
The strong home team earned the reputation of a favorite scare. Striker Hein Rosenau was the top scorer in the league several times and Uwe Witt and Uwe Stothfang were appointed to the DFB's junior team. In 1953 the TSV reached its sporting zenith with the sixth place. In the following years things went downhill and in 1958 the TSV had to leave the now amateur league Schleswig-Holstein with only two wins this season .
In the 2nd Amateur League West , the TSV mostly did not get beyond midfield. The highlights of the season at this time were the derbies against local rivals VfB Brunsbüttelkoog . In 1964 and 1966 the TSV failed in the promotion round to return to the national league . In terms of sport, the promotion was achieved in 1967, but the club was disqualified by the SHFV for violating the amateur statute.
On April 21, 1967 the TSV Brunsbüttelkoog merged with the VfB Brunsbüttelkoog and the BSV Brunsbüttel to form the BSC Brunsbüttel . With Horst Wohlers , TSV later produced a Bundesliga player and coach .
