TUL cup
The TUL-Cup is a football competition of the workers sports association TUL (Suomen Työvänen Urheiluliitto) which has been held with interruptions since 1920 . The winner of the TUL Cup is the Finnish champion of the Workers' Sports Association, but since 1949 all TUL clubs have played in the league system of the SPL (Suomen Palloliitto), the Finnish football association. That is why the TUL Cup has only been played in cup format since 1949.
The record winner is FC KooTeePee from Kotka, which emerged from the Kotkan Työvänen Palloilijat club. Together, the Kotkas players won the TUL Cup 13 times, most recently in 2012. (As of 2018)

The Suomen Työväen Urheiluliitto was founded 1919th The first football championship of this association was played as early as 1920. Helsingin Kullervo won the Cup final against Kuopion Riento 13-1. Until 1932, the competition was to be held in cup mode. After that, the TUL champions were played in a league. During the war they returned to the cup mode. In 1948 a round of unification took place with the teams of the national sports federation. The teams that had qualified athletically took part in the Mestaruussarja in 1949 , in which clubs from both associations should play together for the first time.
From 1956 to 1972 the tournament was completely suspended. However, the TUL remembered its tradition and reintroduced the TUL Cup in 1973, which is still played today after the introduction of a new umbrella organization in Finnish sport in the mid-1990s.
