List of TV channels

TV6 was an Austrian erotic broadcaster that broadcast its television program under the motto erotic TV non-stop . First broadcast of the television station was the 1. September 2003 . The special-interest program was operated by X-Gate Multimedia Broadcasting GmbH based in Linz , Upper Austria .

Programming

Initially, TV6 broadcast pornographic content during the night without child protection precautions . Most of the program was produced by the Linzer table dance club Sex-O-Drom . Among other things, peep shows could be seen regularly .

Facade of the Sex-O-Drom

However, due to a change in the protection of minors in the Austrian Private Television Act (PrTV-G), it became necessary to change the freely receivable program content. Since then, pornography has only been sent encrypted in BISS during the night . The paid TV6 erotic box was necessary for decryption . During the day, the station remained unencrypted . Were broadcast call-in shows , softcore erotic videos and infomercials .

The TV station also received a special note from the rather idiosyncratic moderation technique used by Peter Stolz , also known as Peter S. , a co-owner of X-Gate Multimedia Broadcasting GmbH .

End of broadcasting

Due to financial difficulties, broadcasting via the television satellites Astra 1H and Astra 3A was stopped on August 15, 2005 and, after a break of several weeks , resumed on September 22, 2005 under the name TV6 International via the Hot Bird 6 and Telecom 2D satellites .

After about 20 hours of broadcasting time, however, the broadcast was stopped again on September 23, 2005 at around 4:00 p.m. There was a persistent rumor that the shutdown was brought about by an injunction from the Upper Austrian provincial government , which was allegedly due to the pornographic design of the program. Since the relaunch , pornography has been broadcast unencrypted again during the day and thus freely accessible to minors .

Bankruptcy of the sponsoring company

From the bankruptcy file of the Linz Regional Court with the file number 12 S 41 / 05z it can be seen that the closure of the company X-Gate Multimedia Broadcasting GmbH was ordered by resolution of October 19, 2005 . The bankruptcy was announced on April 21, 2005. In the 2004 financial year , the television station posted sales of 1.87 million euros. However, the fixed costs for satellite use and personnel alone were around 1.41 million euros annually. In the end, the company's debts totaled 2.65 million euros.
