Astra 3A in inclined orbit at 177 degrees West is a Satellite of SES Global (formerly SES Astra - Société Européenne des Satellites-Astra), headquartered in Betzdorf in Luxembourg . It therefore uses the same two frequency ranges between 11.45 - 11.7 and 12.5 - 12.75 GHz. The number of transponders is different, however, and all transponders are 36 MHz wide.
