Betzdorf ( Luxembourgish Betzder ) is a municipality in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and belongs to the canton of Grevenmacher .

The municipal administration in the town hall is located in the village of Berg.
In Roodt-sur-Syr there has been a cemetery since 2011 , the Rieder Bëschkierfecht . The total area of the forest cemetery is about 16 hectares. First 48 oaks were selected under which funeral urns can be buried. The project of the first cemetery in Luxembourg was developed by the municipality of Betzdorf, which also made the area available, the nature and forest administration and the organizations Omega 90 and natur & ëmwelt .

Betzdorf and Roodt / Syr each have a train station on the Luxembourg – Wasserbillig railway line , which is served every hour by the Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois regional trains. The closest connection to the RE11 (Luxembourg - Trier - Wittlich - Bullay - Cochem (Mosel) - Koblenz Hbf) is at the Sandweiler-Contern and Wasserbillig train stations.
