The TV Wackersdorf is a sports club from Wackersdorf in the Schwandorf district . The futsal team currently plays in the Futsal Regionalliga Süd , the highest German division in futsal .
history
The Eastern Colony, a district that was not built long at that time, of the municipality of Wackersdorf , which at that time probably had a population of 1000 , was the first meeting point for the gymnastics club "Glück Auf", which was founded in spring 1912 and which takes its name from it borrowed from the mining language.
The club's futsal team is a founding member of the Futsal Regionalliga Süd and took an excellent 3rd place in the first season. On August 14, 2016, the Knappen represented the German colors for the first time in Vienna at the Mitropapokal , where the futsal elite of Central Europe come together every year. In the following season Wackersdorf struggled with initial difficulties, but thanks to a spectacular series of eight wins in the last eight games, he was able to work his way up from last to fourth place in the table and secure relegation.
