Tabaré Aguerre Lombardo (born April 12, 1957 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan politician and agricultural engineer.

Born in Montevideo, at the corner of Garibaldi and Montecaseros , Aguerre's educational path led through Escuela 88 and Liceo 8 to the Instituto Preparatorio Universitario . From 1975 he studied at the Facultad de Agronomía of the Universidad de la República . During this time he worked for a short time at the Banco de Previsión Social and the UTU of Fray Bentos . He completed his studies in 1980 as an agricultural engineer. In the same year he married the psychologist Ana Luisa Cazes, with whom he has three daughters and a son. He then worked in Bella Unión at CALNU from March 1981 and lived in this city until 1998.

Aguerre, who is independent of the Frente Amplio and has lived in Salto since 1998 , took up the post of Agriculture Minister of Uruguay on March 1, 2010, which he has held since then. In addition, he was President of the Asociación de Cultivadores de Arroz (ACA) from 2007 to 2009 , within which he was a member of the executive board and vice-president between 1988 and 2006. He also works as a rice farmer. As such, he runs his own farm in the Valentín region in the Salto department .
