Tadanori Konakawa

Tadanori Konakawa ( Japanese 粉 川 忠 範 , Konakawa Tadanori ; * around 1950) is a Japanese jazz trombonist .

Tadanori Konakawa worked in the Japanese jazz scene from the 1970s a. a. with Fumio Watanabe , Katsuo Kuninaka , Naoya Matsuoka , Isao Suzuki , Yasuko Agawa , Yōsuke Yamashita and with the singers Maki Asakawa and Hideko Okiyama ( Summertime , 1981). He also appeared in 1984 with Masahiko Togashi and his improvisation Jazz Orchestra and also played in the big bands Shoji Suzuki Rhythm Ace & All Stars and around 1990 with Nobuo Hara and Sharps & Flats. In the field of jazz, Tom Lord lists him in 15 recording sessions between 1979 and 1997, most recently with Sir Charles Thompson ( With Yoshio Toyama & Dixie Saints ). Under his own name, he presented several titles that appeared on the compilation Trombone Paradise (Vol. 4). In later years he played a. a. with the Kunimitsu Inaba Trio + Two (with Q Ishikawa ).
