Tadao Hayashi

Tadao Hayashi ( Japanese 林 忠 男 , Hayashi Tadao ; * 1938 or 1939; † July 23, 2001 in Caloocan , Philippines ) was a Japanese jazz musician ( harp ).

Hayashi first learned jazz piano under Masao Yagi , performing in clubs in Ginza when he was 17 , but then turned to the harp when he was 20.

Tadao Hayashi released his debut album Finger Trip (Zen) in 1978 , which included jazz standards such as " On Green Dolphin Street " and " I Fall in Love Too Easily " and featured musicians such as Shoji Yokouchi (guitar, arrangements), Kunimitsu Inaba and Shigeyuki Sugimoto were involved. In 1979 the productions Finger Trip and Lyra followed (with Yasuo Arakawa and Takeshi Inomata ). In the field of jazz he was listed by discographer Tom Lord in four recording sessions between 1978 and 1980, most recently with singer Terry Mizushima ( Love Letters from My Heart ).

From the 1980s he lived in the Philippines and worked in Manila . It was there that Johnny Alegre produced the album Tadao Hayashi (1986).
