Tadayuki Harada

Tadayuki Harada ( Japanese 原田 忠 幸 , Harada Tadayuki ; born July 20, 1936 in the Kyoto Prefecture ) is a Japanese jazz musician ( baritone saxophone ).

Tadayuki Harada's father was the jazz drummer Jimmy Harada, his older brother the jazz drummer Isamu Harada . He was active in the Japanese jazz scene from the 1950s; In 1956 and 1958 he was a member of the All-Stars-Formation of the Japanese Swing Journal . In the following years he played a. a. with Kōnosuke Saijō , Kazuo Yashiro , Akira Miyazawa , Helen Merrill and Toshiko Akiyoshi . At the end of the 1960s he led a big band (album Playboy's Theme ), the u. a. Tetsuo Fushimi , Kazutoshi Okubo , Hiroshi Okazaki , Shigeo Suzuki , Ichiro Mimori , Yoichi Kanai , Hiroshi Nemoto , Masaru Imada , Norio Maeda , Tatsurō Takimoto , Sadanori Nakamure , Takeshi Inomata and Yonosuke Segami . During this time he worked in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

In the 1970s and 1980s, he also worked with Hideto Kanai , Martha Miyake , Nobuo Hara , Jimmy Takeuchi , Mari Nakamoto , Harumi Kaneko and Miki Matsubara . In the field of jazz he was involved in 37 recording sessions between 1956 and 1996.
