Tadej Žagar-Knez (born August 12, 1991 ) is a Slovenian football player .

Career

Žagar-Knez started his career at NK Šampion . From 2009 he played for the first team of Šampion in the 3rd SNL . After promotion to the 2nd SNL , he made his debut in this in August 2011 when he was in the starting line-up against Interblock Ljubljana on the first day of the 2011/12 season.

For the 2012/13 season he moved to the first division club NK Aluminij . He made his debut in the 1st SNL in July 2012 when he was in the starting line-up against NK Triglav Kranj on the second day of that season .

After the relegation of Aluminij from the 1st SNL, he moved to the first division club NK Celje in the summer of 2013 . For the 2014/15 season he moved to Austria to the regional league team SAK Klagenfurt . With the Carinthians, however, he rose to the regional league at the end of the season .

For the 2016/17 season he returned to Slovenia, where he joined the third division club NK Nafta in 1903 . After half a year for NAFTA, he returned to SAK Klagenfurt in January 2017. In summer 2017 he moved to the regional league team SK Austria Klagenfurt . With Austria Klagenfurt he was promoted to the 2nd division in 2018 .

After promotion, he moved to the regional league team TuS Bad Gleichenberg for the 2018/19 season .
