Taenia (Latin for "tape") is a genus of real tapeworms . They parasitize in the small intestine of predators and humans. Intermediate hosts are herbivores.
The tapeworm head ( Skolex ) has four suction cups, the rostellum in some species has a double ring of hooks. The link chain ( strobila ) consists of numerous links ( proglottids ). There are numerous testicles in each tapeworm limb . The ovary is dumbbell-shaped, the genital opening at the edge.
