Taenia serialis is a tapeworm that occursaround the worldandmainlyaffects dogs and foxes . Hare-like act as intermediate hosts. The fin stages ( Coenurus serialis ) settle in the body cavities , the subcutaneous tissue , and rarely in the central nervous system of the intermediate host. Seldom humans, cats and rodents such as squirrels as intermediate hosts can also be infested with Finns. The end host is infected by eating infected intermediate hosts; the prepatency is around 5 to 6 weeks.
