Conference house

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A conference , seminar house or conference center is a facility for holding meetings , seminars and other events, including adult and further education , and also includes hotels for catering and accommodation for event participants. It differs from the lavishly equipped congress center , which is designed for large events such as symposia and congresses and is intended to serve as a location for meetings (100–200 participants), small symposia (31–100 participants) and for seminars and courses (up to 30 participants).

Many conference centers are set up away from urban life. Occasionally in a particularly natural seclusion, undisturbed and relaxing access to the conveyed content should be guaranteed. This is particularly important when peace, closeness to nature and seclusion are part of the character of the event, such as psychological seminars or closed meetings .

Some of these houses enable complete self-catering in open kitchens to promote and develop group services or just to save costs.

A retreat house is also for conducting retreats , retreats and religious retreats decorated and usually has prayer or meditation rooms .

While initially only the infrastructure for the implementation of events is provided, some houses also offer events themselves or work together with an educational institution for this purpose .
