Tahmina Nijosowa ( Tajik Таҳмина Ниёзова ; born February 14, 1989 in Dushanbe , Tajik SSR ) is a Tajik pop singer who is considered a pop star in her homeland.

Career

Tahmina was born into a musical family. Her grandfather, Bojmuhammad Nijosow ( Tajik Боймуҳаммад Ниёзов ), was a famous performer of the musical genre Šaš-Maqom . After graduating from high school, she studied journalism at the Tajik-Russian (Slavic) University in Dushanbe and graduated in 2012 with the grade "Excellent". Instead of practicing the profession she has learned, Nijosowa appears as a singer. She began her musical career in 2003 when she won the Stars of the New Century talent competition . In August 2008 she won the Five Stars music competition with the title Hero , which entitles it to participate in the Intervision song competition .
