The Taiji Academy in Frankfurt am Main is an educational institution for Taiji and Qigong . As the "Taiji Academy - School of Inner Strength" , the Taiji of the Yang family tradition is taught after its founder Yang Luchan . The Taiji Academy is the oldest existing school in German-speaking countries. It is managed by its founder Frieder Anders .

history

The Taiji Academy by Master Frieder Anders was founded in 1980 in Frankfurt am Main as the "Taichi School" in Frankfurt-Nied .

Frieder Anders met Taiji in New York City in 1970 . From 1975, Anders began to teach and initially taught at various locations in Frankfurt. In 1980 he rented his own training space. The contents of the lessons were Qigong and the Yang style according to Zheng Manqing (Cheng Man-ch'ing) at the beginning. After studying from 1978 to 1979 with various masters in Taipei , their influences found their way into his teaching methods and contents.

In 1981 the newly founded school also became the headquarters of the International Tai Chi Chuan Association (ITCCA), the organization founded by Chu King-Hung to spread his Taiji and remained so until 2005. In 1984 the school moved to Frankfurt-Bockenheim , and in 1994 again in the city of Frankfurt and in 2008 at its current headquarters at Homburger Landstrasse 120 A in Frankfurt-Preungesheim .

In 2005 Master Chu separated and the academy broke up with the ITCCA. The reorganization of the content as the Taiji Academy began.

Master students and confirmed masters

Frieder Anders trains masters in the Taiji Academy according to the tradition of the Yang family style. They form the 7th generation of the authentic Yang family style.

The academy is advised by a scientific advisory board and works with the brands FriederAnders: AtemtypTaiji and FriederAnders: AtemtypQigong , to which it also holds the rights.
