Takayuki Yamaguchi ( Japanese 山口 貴 之 , Yamaguchi Takayuki ; born August 1, 1973 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Yamaguchi learned to play soccer on the Yomiuri youth team . He signed his first contract with Verdy Kawasaki in 1992 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1995 he was loaned to the second division Brummell Sendai . For the club he completed 14 games. In 1996 he was loaned to the first division club Kyoto Purple Sanga . For the club he completed 51 first division games. In 1998 he returned to Verdy Kawasaki . For the club he completed 19 first division games. In July 1999, he moved to league competitor Vissel Kobe . In 2000 he moved to league rivals Gamba Osaka . For the club, he completed 30 first division games. In August 2001 he moved to league competitor Vissel Kobe. For the club he completed 24 first division games. In 2004 he moved to the third division Thespa Kusatsu . At the end of the 2004 season, the club rose to the J2 League .
