Talaq is a Bollywood film devoted to the subject of Islamic law of divorce ( Talāq ).
action
The teacher Indu lives with her unemployed father Moolchand. She falls in love with Ravi Shankar Chaube, a singer and engineer. Since Indu heard him sing at an Independence Day event, she can only think of him. At some point they decide to get married and soon have a daughter Ashoo, after which Indu can no longer do her job.
Unfortunately, the marriage doesn't work as intended. It starts when Indu's father borrows money from Ravi and loses it while gambling. The problems in the marriage are inevitable, so Ravi files for divorce. Indu is now forced to resume her former job while being a divorced woman who has to endure the humiliations of society.
