Talmon Henry "Tally" Hall (born May 12, 1985 in SeaTac , Washington ) is an American football player.
The goalkeeper has been under contract with DC United since the 2016 season .
Youth and college
Hall, who was born in Washington State at SeaTac, attended Gig Harbor High School in Gig Harbor, Washington . After high school he went to San Diego State University , where he played college soccer for the San Diego State Aztecs . He was one of the top players of his year and twice nominated to the NSCAA and College Soccer News All-American selections. In the election for the MAC Hermann Trophy, which receives the best college in the country, he made it to the semi-finals. He was also named one of the Pacific-12 Conference's best players twice in a row . While in college, he played for the Boulder Rapids Reserve in the USL Premier Development League in 2006 .
Change to Denmark
At the MLS SuperDraft 2007 Hall was selected by Los Angeles Galaxy , but he decided against Major League Soccer and moved to Denmark to the first division club Esbjerg fB . However, played no game for the first team in the next two years.
Major League Soccer
In 2009 Tally Hall returned to the US and signed with Houston Dynamo , where he made his debut in a cup game on July 1, 2009. On October 23, 2009 he scored a goal in a game against AD Isidro Metapán in the CONCACAF Champions League .
In 2011 and 2013 he was appointed to the MLS All-Star Team.
On October 28, 2014, it was announced that Hall would move to Orlando City for the 2015 season . There he stood for the first time on May 17, 2015. At the end of the season, Orlando was no longer employed.
In early April 2016, Hall moved to DC United to replace injured goalkeepers Bill Hamid and Andrew Dykstra . Without having played a competitive game, he announced his retirement from professional football in July 2016.
National team
Tall attended courses in the USA U-23 selection , but was not used in any game. In May 2013, he was named to the roster of the United States National Football Team. But he was not on the field in the two friendly games against Belgium and Germany.
