Reservoir
When fully blocked , the reservoir holds 39.8 million m³ (52.1 million cubic yards) of water. The sediment deposits in the reservoir have already been removed several times by dredging.
The reservoir served from 1943 to 1993 as a test area for the US Navy , which carried out torpedo tests there.
