life and work

She was born as Heidrun Amhoff, grew up in Cologne and studied psychology at the University of Frankfurt am Main . Between the ages of 25 and 35, she worked as a mannequin and photo model for companies such as Cerruti, Arlette Berei, Vera Mont and others.

In 1980 she started taking photos herself. From 1985, nude photographs came to the fore. She started with the topic from woman to woman and only photographed women. She later expanded her repertoire: the subject of “man” and “couple” was added. “Nakedness reveals the soul and sensuality of the human being,” she said about her photographic work. She preferred black and white photos and showed her models without any subsequent digital image processing .

She has been working on photo book projects since 1999 and her work has been published in various magazines.
