Taminco is a Belgian chemical company that specializes in the production of amines . It has been owned by Eastman Chemical since December 2014 .
Taminco originated in the splitting of UCB in 2003. In the following years, the company owned by the private equity -Unternehmen AlpInvest Partners , CVC Capital Partners and Apollo Global Management .
Taminco produces lower ( monomethylamine , dimethylamine , trimethylamine ) and higher ( diethylamine , triethylamine , diisopropylamine , propylamine , dimethyllaurylamine ) alkylamines as well as derived compounds such as 3-aminopropyldimethylamine . In addition, various pesticides such as metam-sodium and metam-potassium for soil disinfection, the fungicides thiram , ziram and ferbam , the growth regulator chlorcholine chloride and terpene polymer as a wetting agent are produced.
