Tamoto is a German music group that was founded in 2003.

They released their debut album in 2005 on Sony BMG . A member of the Guano Apes is involved . The band received a lot of airplay on the radio and on music television channels.

Career

In 2003 the musicians Dennis Poschwatta of Guano Apes ( drums and vocals ) and Markus Gumball alias G-Ball (vocals) founded the rock band Tamoto in Moringen near Göttingen . Dennis Poschwatta was the drummer of the Guano Apes and Markus Gumball, son of a Portuguese and a German who originally comes from the rhythm and blues and remix area, run the band as a duo.

In the following year 2004 the two produced their album with many musician friends in Moringen , Göttingen , Hanover and Berlin . Contributing musicians were Henning Rümenapp, Stefan Ude, Kai Weißer alias Kaa, Lars Watermann , Fabio Trentini ( H-Blockx ), Lonzo Zacharias and Clemens Matznik ( Revolverheld & Diane) as sound engineer .

In spring 2005 the two musicians signed their record deal with the record company Gun Records ( Sony BMG ). This was followed by the release of the single Beware and the album Clemenza in the summer . The single Beware was broadcast on MTV and VIVA and stayed in the top 100 of the German charts for two months.

The band played numerous big festivals with greats such as Foo Fighters , System of a Down , Motörhead , David Coverdale .
