The Tanalian River is a river in Lake Clark National Park in southwest Alaska .
The Tanalian River forms the outflow of the 140 m high Kontrashibuna Lake . It flows 6.4 km in a westerly direction and flows into Lake Clark on the southern outskirts of Port Alsworth . The catchment area covers 531 km². The Tanalian Falls are located 5 km above the mouth of the river. The mean discharge is 18 m³ / s. In July, the river carries the largest amount of water. Due to its proximity to Port Alsworth, the river is easily accessible for tourists. A hiking trail leads not far from the river to Kontrashibuna Lake.
