Tanel Sokk (born January 20, 1985 in Tallinn , Soviet Union ) is an Estonian basketball player . Since the 2006/07 season he has played for the Estonian club BC Kalev in the position of point guard . He is the son of Olympic basketball winner Tiit Sokk .

Career as a player

Tanel Sokk started his career at the smaller club Dalkia / Nybit, where he played until 2006. He then moved to the national flagship club BC Kalev . With Kalev he was three times Estonian cup winner and three times Estonian champion. In addition to the national competitions, Sokk played with Tallinn in the Eurocup and the EuroChallenge . In addition, he played with Kalev in the Baltic Basketball League and in the VTB United League . Here he was named the best Estonian player in the 2012/13 season.

National team

Tanel Sokk has been a member of the Estonian national basketball team since 2002. It never qualified for a final round of the European basketball championship .
