Tarcisius Ngalalekumtwa (born October 25, 1948 in Banawanu ) is a Tanzanian clergyman and bishop of Iringa .

Life

Tarcisius Ngalalekumtwa was ordained a priest for the diocese of Iringa on April 17, 1973 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Sumbawanga on February 12, 1988 . The Pope personally consecrated him bishop on January 6 of the next year ; Co-consecrators were Edward Idris Cassidy , substitute for the State Secretariat , and José Tomás Sánchez , Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples .

On November 21, 1992 he was appointed Bishop of Iringa. From May 15, 2013 to May 18, 2014, the day of the inauguration of Bishop Damian Dallu , he was also Apostolic Administrator sede vacante et ad nutum Sanctae Sedis of Songea .
