Fabrice Tarrin (born November 30, 1971 in Neuilly-sur-Seine ) is a French comic artist and comic author .

biography

Fabrice Tarrin attended the École Estienne art school in Paris , after which he was a member of Atelier Nawak for five years (from 1995 Atelier des Vosges ). There he got to know Lewis Trondheim and Joann Sfar , among others .

In 1991 his works were published for the first time in Spirou magazine , individual drawings and also two short stories: Mademoiselle Peggy Sue and Cochon . In 1997 Tarrin released, together with Fred Neidhardt , his first album Les Aventures de Monsieur Tue-tout on Soleil Productions .

Tronchet engaged Tarrin as a draftsman for the first three volumes of the violin comic series . Between 2001 and 2006, Tarrin wrote the dialogues as well as the drawings, while Tronchet worked as a scenarioist . In Germany, the series was first published under the title Violetta by Carlsen Comics , from the third volume by Finix Comics .

From 2005 Tarrin worked together with lyricist Yann on his own Spirou album entitled Le Tombeau des Champignac (German: Die Gruft der von Rummelsdorf ), which was published in September 2007. Fabrice Tarrin sees it in the tradition of the classic Franquin albums.
