Tatiana de Rosnay (born September 28, 1961 in Neuilly-sur-Seine ) is a French writer and journalist.

Life

Tatiana de Rosnay was born in a suburb of Paris to a French father and an English mother . The family later moved to Boston , where their father, Joël de Rosnay, worked at MIT . She studied English literature at the University of East Anglia in England. Rosnay then returned to Paris, where she worked as a journalist for Elle , Vanity Fair and Le Journal du Dimanche , among others . In 1992 she published her first novel.

Rosnay is bilingual and writes some of her books in French and the others in English. Her first novel, Sarahs Schlüssel , was written in English and was filmed in 2010 under the same title with Kristin Scott Thomas in the lead role. Her biography about Daphne du Maurier , Manderley for ever , published in 2015 , was nominated for the Prix Goncourt de la Biographie and was awarded the Prix de la Biographie de la Ville d'Hossegor.

Tatiana de Rosnay is married and has two children. She lives in Paris with her family.
