Tatiana Alexandrovna Schemjakina ( Russian Татьяна Александровна Шемякина , English transcription Tatyana Shemyakina ; born September 3, 1987 in Makarowka , Mordovia ) is a Russian walker .

She started walking as a sport at the age of 15. The first successes came quickly. In 2004 she won the 3 km junior title at regional championships. At the international level, she drew attention for the first time as the runner-up at the 2006 Junior World Championships in Beijing. In the same year she qualified with fifth place at the Russian Championships over 20 km for the U23 European Championships 2007 in Debrecen . There she won the gold medal in 1:28:48 h and improved the European record in her age group.

She celebrated her greatest success so far at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, when she won the silver medal over the 20 km distance behind her compatriot Olga Kaniskina with a time of 1:30:42 h .

Tatjana Schemjakina lives in Saransk and is trained by Vera Nascharkina.
