Tatjana Zautys (born May 4, 1980 in Stuttgart ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Zautys was initially active as a high jumper in athletics . During her sports studies in Heidelberg in 2001, on the initiative of a lecturer, she began her volleyball career at the upper division TSG Heidelberg-Rohrbach . A year later she moved to the second division club SV Sinsheim . In 2004 she was signed by Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen , with whom she reached the finals in the DVV Cup and the European Top Teams Cup . In 2006, the outside attacker, who also played a few beach volleyball tournaments , went to league competitor USC Münster . Two years later she moved to Allianz Volley Stuttgart , who had been promoted to the Bundesliga at the time . In the 2010/11 season she played for the Rote Raben Vilsbiburg before she returned to her hometown to Smart Allianz Stuttgart, where she ended her indoor career in 2014.

Tatjana Zautys has also been active in beach volleyball at national tournaments since 2002. She had almost exclusively top ten placements with various partners and took part in the German championships in Timmendorf eight times . In 2016 she reached fourth place here with Melanie Gernert . In 2017, Gernert / Zautys became German runners-up . Then Zautys ended her beach volleyball career.
