Baptismal font in Ambarès-et-Lagrave

The baptismal font in the Church of St-Pierre in Ambarès-et-Lagrave , a French commune in the Gironde department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was probably created in the 18th century. In 1981, the baroque stone baptismal font was added to the list of listed objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The 1.10 meter high baptismal font in the baptistery stands on a rectangular base with a column. The round basin with a diameter of one meter is profiled on the upper edge and gadronized on its arch .

The cover in the form of a dome comes from a later period.
