Taufers ( Italian Tures ) is a place in the Tauferer Tal in South Tyrol and belongs to the municipality of Sand in Taufers .

The place is located about 12 km north of Bruneck , between the north located municipality capital Sand and Mühlen in Taufers south. It is located on the right in the Tauferer Boden , at the foot of the Speikboden ( 2516 m slm ).
The place extends over 500 m directly on the state road 612. It includes about 20 addresses that read in the parish .

Attractions
The place is the Kirchweiler of the parish church Maria Himmelfahrt , which is first mentioned as a parish in 1240. The Romanesque-late Gothic church of today's parish Taufers in Pustertal (Campo Tures) belongs to the deanery of Taufers from time immemorial. Also protected are the sacristan's house and the historical granary , which today houses the Taufers parish museum .
