Taula places of worship are megalithic structures that only occur in Menorca. A monument made of two large monoliths in the shape of the letter “T” stands within a horseshoe-shaped enclosure made of Cyclopean walls . The popular name 'taula' ( Catalan for "table") was adopted by science. Taula cult sites formed from around 550 BC. The center of many post-Talayotic settlements. In some of them until the early Roman period, 123 BC. Began to perform cultic acts. 33 of these buildings are currently known. The characteristic stone construction still stands in seven of them.

The Taula of Torrellisar Vell stands today within a more than two meter high and 1.5 meter thick circular dry stone wall from more recent times, in which, however, six pilasters of the original complex are embedded. The post-Talayotic surrounding wall made of large stone slabs may still be preserved within today's dry stone wall. The taula itself is in an excellent state of preservation. The supporting stone is 2.60 m high and 1.65 m wide. Its thickness varies between 0.55 and 0.60 m. An even larger stone, 3.25 to 3.45 m long, 2.00 to 2.10 m wide and 0.50 m thick, rests on this as the capital .

The taula was part of a settlement of which little has been preserved. In the vicinity there are two talayots , tower-like structures from the talayotic phase of Menorca's prehistory, which dates from 850 to 550 BC. Lasted. Both are surrounded by multiple dry stone walls and overgrown with undergrowth so that their structure cannot be clearly recognized. Numerous ceramic shards from prehistoric, Roman and Islamic times have been found in the area of the former settlement .
