The Taunusschule is a cooperative comprehensive school with upper secondary school in Bad Camberg in the Taunus low mountain range .

history

The first part of the school building was erected in 1955 on Gisbert-Lieber-Strasse and was ready to move into in 1956, the newly built Realschule in 1964. In 1973 the secondary and secondary schools were merged and in 1974/75 the support level and the comprehensive school were introduced. In 1976, work began on the building of the comprehensive school with the three school branches. The Taunus School has existed in its current form since 1980. In 1984 the sports hall was inaugurated and in 1997 the upper school level was introduced; In 2000 there was therefore the first graduation class at the Taunus School. In August 2002, the support level was abolished and school-based entry classes were introduced. Around 800 students are currently attending the comprehensive school.

Language sequence

English is taught from the 5th school year , from the 7th school year secondary school students can choose French and high school students either French or Latin . From the upper level you can take French, Spanish or Latin again.

Bilingual teaching

In high school, one arises from 7th grade bilingual class in the subjects of politics and economics , geography , and frequently in chemistry is taught, as well as in biology in English. The bilingual lessons are continued until the Abitur .
