The Tay Point is a rocky headland on the south coast of Joinville Island in front of the northeastern end of the Antarctic Peninsula . It protrudes 10 km east of Mount Alexander into the Firth of Tay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1963 based on the name of the Firth of Tay.
