Tayfun Pektürk (born May 13, 1988 in Wermelskirchen ) is a German-Turkish soccer player .
Career
Pektürk began his career at SV Wermelskirchen . In 2004 he moved to the youth team of Wuppertaler SV Borussia and one year later went to FC Schalke 04 . At the age of 19 he moved to TuS Koblenz in the 2nd Bundesliga, where he also played regularly in the 2007/08 season. In the last home game of the season he secured relegation shortly before the end of the game with his 2-2 goal against Erzgebirge Aue. Due to sustained injuries, because of which he only came to nine mostly short season appearances, his contract in Koblenz was not extended in 2009.
In September 2009 Pektürk signed a contract with Eintracht Trier for the Regionalliga West. There he was, however, deleted from the squad in February 2010 and relegated to the second team. The club management informed him that he could look for a new club.
In April 2010 Pektürk signed a contract with second division club SpVgg Greuther Fürth for the 2010/11 season. In his first year he made nine appearances and was in the starting line-up twice. In the away win in Osnabrück, he scored his first goal for the White-Greens on matchday 25.
On January 16, 2013, Pektürk moved to the Turkish first division club Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor , with whom he signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2015. At the end of the 2012/13 season he rose with the club in the TFF 1st Lig . In the 2nd league he reached the championship with his team and thus the direct promotion to the Süper Lig. After the promotion he finished with his club, which was renamed in Istanbul Başakşehir in the summer of 2014 , the first division season 2014/15 surprisingly as fourth and qualified for the UEFA Europa League .
For the 2015/16 season he moved to the then second division Karşıyaka SK . Pektürk is currently playing with the club in the third-class TFF 2nd Lig Beyaz Group Puan Durumu (Group White).
