Taylor Washington (* 6. May 1993 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania as Taylor Ellis-Watson ) is an American sprinter .
Athletic career
Taylor Washington started athletics at the age of 12. She attended Springside School until 2011 . She then attended the University of Pittsburgh , before moving to the University of Arkansas after two years , as there were better training conditions. She won several national medals and took part in the 2016 National Olympic Qualification in Eugene . Despite a personal best of 50.81 seconds over 400 meters, it was not enough for a single starting place. However, she was nominated for the season. At the 2016 Summer Olympics , she started in the heats in the 4 × 400 m relay race . Although Washington did not start in the final, she received a gold medal as part of the relay team for winning the final.
