Taylor Hunter (born July 7, 1993 in Aurora ) is an American football player who is mostly used as a defender . He is currently under contract with Houston Dynamo .
Career
Youth and amateur football
Hunter played for Real Colorado in his youth. He then played for four years for the University of Denver soccer team , the Denver Pioneers. For this he completed a total of 69 games.
Club career
Hunter was chosen as the seventh pick in the third round (49th overall) in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft by Houston Dynamo on January 15, 2015 . A month later he signed a professional contract there. Before he made his professional debut with Houston, he was loaned to the Colorado Springs Switchbacks on April 11, 2015 , for which he was used on the same day. After the loan ended early, Hunter completed his debut for Houston Dynamo in Major League Soccer on July 18, 2015 in the 2-0 defeat by Real Salt Lake .
