Teagan Jade Micah (born October 20, 1997 in Redcliffe , Queensland , Australia ) is an Australian national soccer player on the position of goalkeeper. She has played for Melbourne Victory since 2019 .
Career
societies
Micah attended Redcliffe State High School where she was born, became a member of the Australian Goalkeeper Academy in 2010, played for Queensland in the National Championships at the age of 13 and was nominated three times for the All-Star Team. From 2013 to 2015 she was part of the Brisbane Roar team , where the former German national goalkeeper Nadine Angerer played. For the 2015/16 season she moved to the Western Sydney Wanderers . In 2016, she received a full football scholarship from the University of California, Los Angeles and became number 1 at the UCLA Bruins , where she never missed a minute of the game in her freshman season. For the 2019/20 season she moved to Melbourne Victory .
National team
She was called up to the Australian U-13 team, took part with the U-16 team in the qualifying and final round of the U-16 women's Asian Cup in 2013 and the U-19 team in U-19 football - Asian Women's Championship 2015. In July 2017 she was nominated for the first time for the Australian national soccer team for women , which won the Tournament of Nations , but where it was not used. In April 2019 she was nominated for a game against the USA , but was not used there either. On May 14, 2019, she was nominated for the World Cup as the only Australian player without an A international match . But it was not used at the World Cup.
