Ted Brocklebank

Ted Brocklebank (born September 24, 1942 in St Andrews ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Conservative Party .

Brocklebank attended Madras College in St Andrews. He then worked in the media sector, initially as a freelance journalist , then until 1970 for Scottish Television . Brocklebank moved to Grampian Television and held various senior positions. Between 1995 and 2003 he was the managing director of Greyfriars Production.

Political career

In the Scottish general elections in 1999 , 2003 and 2007 Brocklebank stood as a Conservative Party candidate for the constituency of North East Fife . However, he was defeated in all three elections to the candidate of the Liberal Democrats , Iain Smith . On the basis of the election results, Brocklebank succeeded in entering parliament in 2003 and 2007 via the regional electoral list of Mid Scotland and Fife .
