Edward Haggis

Edward Haggis ( Edward Hopwood "Ted" Haggis; born June 9, 1924 in London , Ontario ; † January 23, 2017 ibid.) Was a Canadian sprinter .

At the 1948 Olympic Games in London, he was fifth in the 4 x 100 meter relay . He reached the quarter-finals over 100 m and 200 m .

In 1950 he became the Canadian 100- yard and 220-yard champion.

His son Paul Haggis became known as a film director.
