Tea Corinne

Tee A. Corinne (born November 3, 1943 in St. Petersburg , Florida as Linda Tee Cutchin , † August 27, 2006 in Oregon ) was an American photographer , artist , writer , feminism and LGBT activist.

Life

Corinne was born in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1943 and grew up in the southern United States and the Bahamas . After her schooling Corinne studied at Newcomb College of Tulane University , at St. Petersburg Junior College , where she in 1964 a degree in Associate of Arts reached and at the University of South Florida , where her the Bachelor succeeded and then at the Pratt Institute, where she passed the master . Corinne began writing in the mid-1960s and exhibiting her own photographs. She co-organized Feminist Photography Ovulars (1979–1981) and co-founded The Blatant Image, A Magazine of Feminist Photography (1981–1983).

Corinne also wrote a novel, three collections of short stories, four books of poetry and other smaller publications. Her media exhibition, Family, was the subject of a video interview with Jane Scott Productions . Corinne's works have been published in Lesbian Subjects , Feminist Studies , Gallerie: Women's Art , The Advocate , Philadelphia Gay News , The Lesbian Inciter , I Am My Lover (first edition 1979) and in Femalia , among others . Corinne wrote articles on art in various publications and from 1987 was a columnist for Feminist Bookstore News , co-founder of Gay & Lesbian Caucus and Women's Caucus for Art Lesbian & Bisexual Caucus .

Corinne was married for seven years and had lifelong relationships with women for the next 25 years after the divorce.

Awards and honors (selection)

In 1990 she received the Lambda Literary Award as the editor of Intricate Passions . In 1991, she was named one of the top five most influential LGBT people of the decade by the Lambda Book Report . In 1997 Corinne received the Women's Caucus for Art President Award for her service to women in the arts.
