Teemu Pääkkönen (born September 18, 1982 ) is a former Finnish ski jumper .

Career

Pääkkönen, who started for Lahden Hiihtoseura , made his international debut in the 1999/2000 season in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . In his first season he achieved 121st place in the overall standings with 91 points. In the summer of 2000 Pääkkönen secured third place in the Team Continental Cup together with Jussi Hautamäki , Akseli Lajunen and Toni Nieminen in Winterberg . Thereupon received at the beginning of the winter 2000/01 season on December 3, 2000 a starting place in the Ski Jumping World Cup in Kuopio . As 55th he missed the qualification for the competition. After that, the Finn remained in the B-squad and finished his most successful season 2000/01 as 69th overall. As he subsequently did not achieve any major successes, he withdrew from international competitions in 2004.

In 2014 Pääkkönen started again internationally after ten years and started jumping in the FIS Cup. However, he had to be content with lower placements in Kuopio in August and in Einsiedeln in September .
