Tegernbach is a former municipality in the district of Erding with 1038 inhabitants (status 1972: Wasentegernbach 494, Grüntegernbach 544) on an area of 23.88 km² (Wasentegernbach 9.08 km², Grüntegernbach 14.80 km²).

history

Tegernbach is the name of the community that was formed on January 1, 1972 on the occasion of the Bavarian regional reform through the merger of the communities Wasentegernbach and Grüntegernbach . On May 1, 1978 it was added to the city of Dorfen . The districts of Endsberg and Stetten were assigned to the Schwindegg community ( Mühldorf district ). The administrative seat was in Grüntegernbach. The former districts of Altweg, Anzing, Bachzelten, Bergham, Bichl, Brandstätt, Elsenbach, Endsberg, Englschalling, Fischeröd, Fuchsbichl, Großkatzbach, Grünbach, Grüntegernbach, Haagmaier, Haid, Holzmann, Holzmichl, Hub, Kirchstätten, Kraiperstättham, Kummereck, Loh, Loiperstätt , Nelharting, Neudeck, Oberkorb, Oberzeil, Polding, Schirmading, Sinsöd, Solling, Stetten, Straß, Tagberg, Thal b.Grünbach, Thal b.Nehaid, Unterkorb, Unterreith, Unterzeil, Urtlfing, Wasentegernbach, Weg, Wies, Wilnham, Wolfeck , Wöhrmühle and Zieglhub now all belong to the city of Dorfen.
