Teglholmen is a peninsula in the southern harbor of Copenhagen , which is located in Denmark between Sluseholmen and Enghave Brygge .

Teglholmen takes its name from a brickworks (Teglværk) that was founded there in 1871 and for many years supplied the district of the Danish capital Copenhagen Vesterbro with bricks.

The next generation of companies that established themselves on the island were shipyards, foundries and also a Burmeister & Wain engine plant . When Burmeister & Wain's activities in the Teglholmen area came to an end in the 1970s, a number of multinational companies settled there in the 1990s. Some industrial companies of former history such as MAN B&W Diesel A / Ss still produce at the location, today mainly Danish and regional headquarters of multinational companies such as Nokia, Philips, Ericsson and the TV2 TV station and residential complexes are located there.

A bridge connecting Teglholmen with Sluseholmen was designed by the Danish architecture firm Hvidt & Mølgaard. The 97 meter long Teglværksbroen bascule bridge was inaugurated in 2011.
